How Much Does a Maternity Nurse Cost?

Maternity Nurses are self-employed and liable for their own Tax and National Insurance Contributions. Their fees vary according to their age, experience and on the number of babies they will be responsible for. They are as follows:

Gross Pay Per 24 Hours (For Live-In Bookings)

Maternity Nurse (Single Baby) £130 - £160
Maternity Nurse (Twins)         £160 - £200
Maternity Nurse (Triplets)       £185 - £225

Gross Pay Per Hour (For Day/Night Bookings)

Maternity Nurse (Single Baby) £13 - £16
Maternity Nurse (Twins)         £16 - £18

On occasions we do have ladies who apply to us who wish to change their current childcare careers to Maternity Nursing. After careful questioning, investigation into experience with newborn babies and the checking of references we will register them if we think they have the ability and commitment to become excellent Maternity Nurses. If you would be interested in booking one of these Maternity Trainees, do ask for information on their availability. They charge approximately £120 per 24 hours, gross, depending on previous experience and hours of work.

Travelling Expenses

The client is requested to reimburse all reasonable travelling expenses for interviews and travel at commencement of post. For overseas positions the employer is responsible for all travel and medical insurance and the cost of the return flight.

Maternally Yours is part of Imperial Recruitment the largest domestic recruitment agency supplying staff for all domestic situations throughout the UK and abroad.
